Thakali Sewa Samiti (Thakali Service Committee) is a national/community organization formed to bring Thakali people together and protect their cultural and social identity. Historical sources indicate that the organization was formally developed in the early 1980s, following earlier Thakali community organizations. The organization supports the preservation of Thakali language, religion, customs, traditional practices, and cultural heritage, while promoting unity and cooperation among Thakali communities throughout Nepal. There are also local branches/committees in places such as Kathmandu, Kaski/Pokhara, Beni, and Bhairahawa.
