Jirel Association Nepal (JAN) was established with the mission of preserving, promoting, and celebrating the unique cultural heritage of the Jirel people. The Jirel community, indigenous to the beautiful mountainous region of Jiri in Dolakha district, has a rich history spanning centuries.
Our organization serves as a bridge connecting Jirel people both within Nepal and across the diaspora, fostering unity, cultural awareness, and community development.
"Jirel Association Nepal (JAN)" is a community-based organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating the unique cultural heritage and identity of the Jirel Indigenous community of Nepal. The Jirel people have their ancestral roots in the mountainous region of Jiri in Dolakha district and possess a distinctive language, traditions, customs, and cultural heritage.
JAN works to connect Jirel people within Nepal and across the diaspora, fostering community unity, cultural awareness, and collaboration.
